Tim Hultgren was a significant blessing to our family when my sister died. He met us at the house, guided us through the decisions we needed to make, all with strength, dignity, patience and compassion. We were able to have the Visitation and Funeral at our church which saved money and made all of us more comfortable.
This is the now the 3rd personal experience I have had with Hultgren Funeral Home. I cannot underestimate the professional manner, insightful counsel and genuine care we received on each occasion. These are difficult times, and they understand that. I appreciated the attention to detail and assistance in decision making that helped us, not only navigate this time, but relieved us of many details that would have otherwise been overwhelming. I highly recommend the excellent care of this family based organization for their desire to serve and genuinely meet needs, not simply provide a service when you find yourself in need.
Death is never easy on a family, so planning for what comes after can be incredibly hard but Tim Hultgren was incredible helpful and compassionate in our time of sorrow. He made it easy, was patient and upfront about costs and how the day would go. The cost was reasonable and the service went beyond my expectations. With giving us boards to put pictures on, scanning hundreds of pictures and putting them together in a slide show, creating custom prayer cards and I even got to play my dad favorite music during the wake, and we never felt rushed to leave. Every person that I interacted with was professional but also made me feel as if they truly cared, it was a nice extra touch. I would highly recommend Hultgren because they made a very difficult time a little easier for me and my family.

With heavy, yet hopeful hearts we turned to Hultgren Funeral Home. Tim and his staff were gracious, caring, patient, and understanding without pressure and beyond beyond the call of duty. Tim explained every option and tenderly helped us with every step, and then he looked after every detail, removing all worry from our shoulders--we did not have to worry about anything! He was amazing. The visitation and service were professional and beautiful. Tim was there quietly in the background making sure everything went as it should and that all details were taken care of. We now have such lovely memories to carry with us. I give Tim Hultgren and Hultgren Funeral Home my highest and most sincere praise and appreciation.
You could say he had 'perfect pitch': just the right tone that put us at ease. The prices were reasonable, there was no pressure, no up-selling, and every vendor he recommended was excellent. Likewise, his staff was superb.
Scott Macy served as our Funeral Director and he did a masterful job. Scott helped us plan a funeral on short notice from out of town. His attention to detail was outstanding and his kindness and sensitivity to our situation was genuine. Scott was able to get the entire process rolling by phone and then smoothly and professionally helped us plan the final details once we were in town. Scott possesses superior planning and logistics skills and he followed through on everything that he promised. Beyond that, he was patient, understanding and pleasant throughout the process. There was no pressure applied regarding any of our choices. We give Scott Macy and Hultgren Funeral Home our very highest endorsement.
